Job description for Analyst intern for Microsoft Advertising

Responsibilities

•     Provide support and consulting on client's/partner’s strategy in the areas of sales, marketing and/or product development, and translate data into answers to business questions and/or insights to facilitate business decision-making.

•     Develop and own analytical modeling for key client/partner projects, apply and/or customize analytical tools (e.g., dashboards) and frameworks to identify opportunities, and develop solutions to optimize client/partner business and maximize the use and effectiveness of ads products.

•     Collaborate with sales teams to drive business growth with clients/partners, conduct in-depth analysis and identify business opportunities, and support the development of go-to-market business pitch and marketing collateral

•     Deliver effective communications and presentations to multiple levels of stakeholders.


Minimum qualifications:

•     Current master degree students (available to provide Certificate of An Enrolled Student)

•     Good analytical skills (Excel, SQL, etc.) 

•     Passion for Digital Media or Advertising industry

•     Available to work 40 hours per week, with an internship duration of 6 months


Preferred qualifications:

•     1 year of client-facing experience, with a track record of influencing across levels.

•     1 year of experience in media analytics, advertising sales, digital media and marketing, consulting, or financial analysis.

•     Knowledge of SQL, databases, and basic automation techniques (e.g., dashboards, automating custom reports, materializing tables).

•     Ability to analyze large datasets and distill them into actionable insights that are presented in a logical and compelling story.

•     Strong written and verbal English communication skills with comfort delivering simple and compelling stories
